Connecting With Community: Join DEEL For Continued FEPP Levy Engagement Opportunities

The Seattle Department of Education & Early Learning (DEEL) is excited to share new opportunities for community members and organizations to engage, learn more, and share priorities on the Families, Education, Preschool & Promise Levy (FEPP).

With the passage of Prop 1 – FEPP Levy, the City of Seattle will adopt a six-year spending plan beginning in 2026 to support children, youth, and families. DEEL continues to seek input to shape levy investments and ensure they reflect community priorities and lived experiences.

Every Child Ready Listening Tour

DEEL is coming to you! As part of FEPP engagement, DEEL staff would like to attend community meetings, events, or programs to listen, learn, and better understand what matters most to families, youth, and community partners.

Community-based organizations and groups can request DEEL participation by completing the Listening Tour Request Form. Our team will follow up to coordinate scheduling and next steps.

Engage Online

DEEL will share an online survey link the week of February 9th. We invite you to email us your insights and perspectives on FEPP funding at education@seattle.gov until this survey is available. DEEL is excited to continue engagement with the community and learn more about how the levy can best support and expand access to affordable childcare, high-quality preschool, K-12 youth supports, and college and career opportunities.
